DAY 1

ARRIVAL

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the office for check-in. Then, we will travel approximately 20 km along the Interoceanic Highway to reach the lodge. Upon arrival, you will receive a refreshing tropical fruit drink before heading to the dining room to enjoy a typical meal.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

Your first visit will be to the botanical garden. There, the guide will explain the plants with medicinal properties and how the native communities use them. Following this activity, we will have lunch featuring a typical dish from the region. AGUAJAL TRAIL – CANOPY WALK In the afternoon, we will continue our activities by venturing into the vast aguajal (swamp forest), where we will be surrounded by lush palm trees, a habitat for many animals. Continuing along the trail, we will reach the canopy walkway, suspended between two rainforest trees. At this point, we will ascend to the platform for birdwatching, monkey observation, and other species; you will also be able to enjoy the sunset. A hearty dinner awaits us back at the lodge.

DAY 2

After a restful night, at dawn you will hear the songs of birds and some mammals.

WALKING WITH GIANTS

After a delicious breakfast, we will begin our activity following a winding path surrounded by immense trees such as the well-known Lupuna and various other Amazonian trees. There will be a chance to hear and observe wildlife such as parrots, toucans, monkeys, insects, etc. In the morning warmth, you will have time to enjoy our natural spring-fed pool and/or take photographs. Upon returning to the lodge, a typical local lunch awaits us.

LAKE SANTA TERESA

After a short rest, we will continue the program, arriving at a beautiful lake in the local community of Santa Teresa. This place is a private protected area. While navigating the lake, we will have the opportunity to observe a variety of birds (parrots, macaws, anhingas, etc.), insects, frogs, and reptiles. Among the flora, you can appreciate palm trees, aquatic plants, and other species. They typically build their nests in the tops of dead palm trees that grow around the lake. The lake also offers opportunities for piranha fishing. At the end of this activity, we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado, where our program concludes.
